JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2020


Joint Entrance Exam Main is conducted twice in a year in the months of January and April. The application form for JEE Mains will release in the month of September 2019. Before filling application form you should check JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2020. It will give you idea whether you are eligible or not eligible for the exam. Through JEE Mains candidates will get admission in National Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Information Technoogy and many other centrally funded technical institute. JEE Main is also screening test for JEE Advanced. You can fill application form of JEE Advance only if you clear cut off marks of JEE Mains. Important Dates and Details of JEE Main

Those candidates who will appear in the examination should know eligibilty criteria. In this section you can check all important dates and details of JEE Main in the following points.
  • Exam Name – JEE Mains 
  • Full name of the exam – Joint Entrance Exam Mains 
  • Conducting authority – National Testing Agency
  • Counselling process conducted by – Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA) 
  • Application Form Release Date – In the month of September 2019 
  • Admit Card Release Date – In the month of December 2019 
  • Examination Date - In the month of January 2020 
  • Answer Key – In the month of February 2020 
  • Result date – In the month of February 2020 

JEE Main Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria are the conditions like qaulification, age etc of the NTA which should be fulfiled by candidate to apply for the JEE Main. You can check eligibility criteria of JEE Main 2020 in the following poinrs.
  • Number of Attempts - Aspirant can appear in the JEE Main exam for three consecutive years. Since the entrance will be conducted twice a year, the aspirant can choose to appear in both the attempts. However, the attempt for a particular academic year will be considered as only one. 
  • Required Subjects in class 12th -It is mandatory for candidates to have taken 5 subjects in class XII or equivalent qualifying exam. These 5 subjects can be: 
  • 1-Language, 2-Physics, 3-Mathematics, 4-Any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject), 5-Any other subjects. 
  • Age LImit Criteria - No age limit for JEE Mains 2020. However, candidates need to pass 10+2 or the equivalent examination in 2019 or 2020. 

JEE Main Application Form

NTA releases JEE Mains application form. It will release in online mode at their official website. We have to provide our basic details like name, father’s name, active mobile number, active email id, address etc in the application form. Check below mentioned steps which will guide you to fill application form of JEE Main.
  • Go to the official website
  • Click on the registration for JEE Mains. 
  • Enter basic details like name, address, email id etc. 
  • Click on submit button. 
  • Application number and password will be sent to your mobile number. 
  • Now click on the application form. 
  • Upload all the required documents like 10th Certificate, Category certificate etc. 
  • Check all the details before submit application form. 
  • In last pay the application form fees and submit the online form. 
  • Take prinout copy of application form for future use.

The detailed exam pattern of JEE Main 2021 have been announced by NTA in the official information brochure which is available below. JEE Main 2021 comprises of 2 papers; Paper 1 for engineering aspirants and Paper 2 for students seeking admissions in architecture and planning courses.
